If I understand correctly, your talking about the gable, so where the corner post ends at the top, you should have j channel installed along the edges of the gable. But maybe Shannon understands more better.

My bad. It said premium treated rather than pressure treated. Well I guess I was more concerned with the diameter of the nail rather than the actual length . I believe my nail gun to take 16d nails so I was planning on using those

Yeah I usually use carriage bolts but I'm getting kind of lazy and since I'm building it for free for my mother, I'm trying to find a yet sufficient but more convenient way lol.

Im Thinkinh about installing the railing post on the inside of the floor joists rather than on the outer deck. I was thinking about installing them with these kind of lag bolts,four in each post and 2 on each perpendicular side. Do you think that would suffice?

Building 22x7 porch

Hey Guys

About to build a porch for my mother. The porch would be 22 ft by 7 .And I was wanting to know if 2x10's Beams is sufficient for this size porch or should I go with 2 x 12 beams?

Also I thought I should be good with 2x10s for actual platform ,right?

Thanks for responding Shannon, but no I have not recently installed the valve or change the cartridge. To clarify it just a little more, while the the knob is turned off the water is still coming out the spigot

Thanks Shannon and spruce. What I did was I took mine digital angle finder and just put it along the edge of the angle and it actually said like 134.4 so I just rounded down. But I definitely learned something.

Basement .I thought return air vents doesn't usually have ducting but this is a old house so I'm probably wrong. In a refrigerated was right there but it's being replaced with a cabinet and a stove keep in mind those are the old cabinets in the picture
