I had not heard of the Ospho product but it sounds like exactly what I need. I just ordered some. Thank you. And you are right about the base of the post holding water. That seems odd ... I'm not sure what happened there. In any case, if you can recommend something to fill that area please do.

I have an metal railing (probably iron) that is showing rust where it attaches to the cement base. The rest of the railing looks fine – it's just this bottom attach point.
