How do I fix this?

I am in the middle of a basement bathroom remodel. I just realized that the tub I ordered and installed is 36" wide but the tub wall kit https://maax.com/en/product/utile-tub-wall-kit_103424?v=103424-307-508 is only 30" wide. :( I was hoping to fill in the 6" space with accent tiles but was not sure...

Re: Tub drain advice

Thank you. Follow up. I broke up about a 2ft by 2ft area of concrete in the slab to get the rough-in plumbing installed and connected. I backfilled with gravel. Is it ok to leave it as is and install the tub over top or should I cover the gravel with something? The area that is exposed will be compl...

Tub drain advice

I am in the middle of installing a new tub, current drain is 2” pvc. All waste and overflow kits are 1.5”. Question is where should I increase/reduce the pipe size to match? The drain is in a concrete slab with a 2” trap. This is for a jacuzzi tub if that matters. I guess my two options are to incre...

Spray foam over water pipes

I am in the process of finishing a basement bathroom remodel where I have hot and cold supply lines that feed the bathroom in a 2x4 stud wall that is tight up the poured foundation wall. My initial plan is to spray foam the entire water pipes and all up the entire wall into the rim joist bay. But no...

Re: Insulate crawlspace

Do you recommend leaving the floor alone? As a side note, I have to thank you. I found your channel/this site last year while doing research for building my deck. I began to watch more and more videos of your simply for the quality of the content and how genuine of a person you appear to be in your ...

Insulate crawlspace

I have a ranch home with a basement. Originally the house had an attached garage but had been converted to a living space by spanning joists across the garage floor and converting the area above to a conditioned space. Leaving about an 18" crawl space underneath the living space with a concrete floo...

Re: Spray foam recommendation

Thank you for your reply. Reason I ask is that I am doing a small basement bathroom reno, about 9' x 8' x 5'. I have everything torn down to the studs, which are tight up against a poured concrete foundation wall with some pipes going through a few bays. It's a pretty small job to hire out but would...

Spray foam recommendation

Any recommendations for where/what brand of closed-cell spray foam to get and where? Located in Chicago, IL. Or if not recommendations on where or brand, what to look for when purchasing? Looking for a DIY solution.
