Going out to buy a hammer tacker for installing vapour barrier, any suggestions on a good make and model for the job?

Thanks

There are two kinds, one with a shoe and one without.

The shoe helps keep the tool from blowing staples all the way through thin/delicate materials, but it is a heavier tool. The shoeless version is much lighter which is less tiring to use and is great for thicker and/or fibrous materials.

As for brand, Arrow or Stanley are both good.

What I use is a Bostich H30. Similar to the Stanley without shoe
