Fridge water line leak

Post by Admin » Mon Dec 19, 2011 8:45 am

Here's a question we recently received via e-mail:

Hello there and thanks for you great videos! I'm wondering if you can help me with one quick question. I just had a refrigerator disconnected and removed as I am waiting for another to be delivered in s a few days. The problem I'm having is that the water line that was disconnected is still leaking. it's slight but it's enough to fill a bucket every 1.5 - 2 hours. How do I prevent this form leaking completely until my new refrigerator arrives? I'm so concerned about getting water all over.

Sounds like your valve is not closing all the way. They get that way because they are not used much. Try opening it and then closing it a few times and see if it will stop. If not you may need to try putting the end in the sink if it will reach or changing out the valve its self.
