Attaching a diagonal corner cabinet , to a straight wall cab

Post by Invest777 » Sun Jun 09, 2013 2:04 pm

I'm having a problem attaching the corner cabinet to the straight wall cabinet , its the face frames , that's set at an angle due to the diagonal wall cabinet, it's a little close to 2 inches of face frame ( 1.5 inch for the straight cabinet face frame, and .5 inches it seems of wood that seems like some of the face frame for the diagonal wall corner cabinet, how would you handle this type of install? How long of a screw would you use , and any techniques ,Thanks for the advice in advance

I think what you are asking is how to attach the face frames together and how long of fastener to use?
Once the cabinets are lined up to each other and fastened to the wall,
Pre-drill and counter sink a 3 holes through the face frame of the straight cabinet into the face frame of the corner cabinet ( one near the top,one near the centre and one near the bottom). Then use a 1-3/4" flat head screw to secure them.
