I think the drop down of the ceiling is going to cause a problem with installing the wall cabinets.

Hey Shannon, the problem is i usually screw through the top of the cabinet but the wall cabinets will be fully at the top preventing me from doing that. Do you know of a substitute way of nailing the cabinet to the wall? Do you think tacking a ledger strip in the inner cabinet at the top , than use that as the anchoring point would suffice?

Any cabinets I have made or bought I screw through the back or back cleat to secure to the wall. The cabinets I build have 5/8" back material so I can screw through the back anywhere, manufactured cabinets usually have 1/8" backs with a 1/2" cleat at the top and bottom back area that can be screwed through.
