Hi there,
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be done to have this repaired. We don't currently have the funds to purchase all new doors but they will be getting painted grey in the near future. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Short term, you could use washers on both sides of the drawer to widen the footprint of the fasteners into good material of the drawer. The washers on the outside only need be slightly larger than the diameter of the handle and can be polished or painted to blend in better. On the inside of the drawer you'll want something larger, along the lines of a fender washer (large diameter) that can bridge the damage of the drawer onto good material.
Long term fix would be to take the drawer to a cabinet shop or woodworker and have the panel replaced. This will be done by milling the panel out of it's groove from the inside, then install new panel and retaining clips. The new panel can be painted or stain matched, depending on how you decide to refinish the cabinets.
