Bath tub replacement

Post by faithfulying » Thu Jul 16, 2015 10:34 am

Hi Shannon,
My bathtub has some cracks and needs a replacement. The issue is that its drain is back centered and it is not so easy to find a similar tub under a relatively low budget, so can I just buy a left-hand or right- hand drain tub and change the position of the drain underneath the tub? does it require a lot a plumbing work and cost much more if I hire a pro? it is a mobile home.

It should be do-able have a look under the mobile home to see if you can tell were the plumbing comes from and maybe that could dictate which hand of tub you get. I would think hiring a plumber may cost you about 3-4 hrs to reroute the drain and install the tub, if there are no real problems.
