Foam Insulation

Post by Brian » Thu Feb 21, 2013 6:39 pm

Where do you get the plastic wall anchors? I asked at my local Home Depot and they didn't know. They recommended I glue the foam to the concrete wall. Will Tyvek tape work for taping the seams?

Thanks for putting up the videos. They are very helpful.

The anchors are usually best found at a local concrete supply retailer who sells the tools and supplies for working with concrete. Tyvek tape works perfect for this job.

Thanks Shannon. Do you have any preference for heated floors? I found a product called RPM Mats which looked pretty nice and easy to install.

If you are talking about electric heated floors, the only ones I have ever installed are from "Warmly yours". They have been really good, they are a wire that is attached to a mesh mat.

I'm having a rough time locating the foam fasteners/concrete anchors. I did find the PL adhesive but it's recommended to use some sort of mechanical fastener as well. I've contacted a couple local concrete suppliers without much luck. Where did you find the ones you used?
