Framing on unlevel concrete floor

Post by Brian » Fri Mar 15, 2013 2:49 pm

Hi Shannon,

I'm framing a wall in the basement. The floor is uneven. In some spots there is 1" difference. Should I build the wall to the lowest length and shim to make up the difference in lower spots? I've thought about using SLC but I don't think I could use a 50 lbs bag.

Thanks,
-Brian

Personally I would install the the top and bottom plates and cut the studs to fit, then attach them.
