Need help installing shower column

Post by Friedfrog » Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:59 pm

Hello Folks,
I am about install brand shower column in Basement Bathroom. Plumber has run rough-ins for all fixtures including shower. There hot & cold water supply line rough-ins for shower. But I don't see any control valve for shower.
Please have a look at the attached pictures and tell how do I install shower column using existing rough-in.
Thanks.
John

I’m not trying to be ignorant but what do the instructions say?
Just reading the box and looking at the picture It appears this unit may still use a separate shower valve?

You are absolutely right. Can I get away different shower column which doesn't require separate shower valve or does such a fixture exists?

Yeah, says right on the box that it is a shower head replacement, not a valve replacement. Yes, you should be able to find the unit you have with a valve, or a similar styled one. You're probably going to have to go to a specialty plumbing supply, such as Ferguson's. You'll pay a whole lot more than at a big box, but the quality should be 10X better and you'll have a whole lot better selection.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
