Shower valve problem

Post by Invest777 » Fri Mar 22, 2019 12:31 am

Hey guys,I have a one handle shower valve. The problem is the hot water won't turn off in the off position I'm thinking the shower valve is defected and I just need to replace the whole shower valve. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for responding Shannon, but no I have not recently installed the valve or change the cartridge. To clarify it just a little more, while the the knob is turned off the water is still coming out the spigot

The cartridge is probably worn and needs replacement, I would start there first as it is a non-destructive fix.
