vanity not square with back and side wall

Post by tucker4987 » Fri Mar 22, 2019 3:04 pm

installing new vanity and top, back and side walls are covered in acrylic faux subway tile over new green board. The best I can get is sidewall 1/4 to 1/2, back wall 1/4. can I shim with wood and caulk
Cutting acrylic wall is not an option

Pretty typical occurrence.

If you don't want to scribe the vanity top to the walls, your only other option is going to be to caulk it into place. Caulking backer would be better than a wood shim because it won't rot and it will mash to whatever thickness you need for a good fit and support of the caulk.
