Shower valve in a shower stall with no tub spout!

Post by Gabe » Sun Jun 16, 2019 9:05 am

This novice writer/DIY guy wants to know: what to do with the valve’s bottom opening when there is no tub spout in the shower stall! Is there a shower valve with just three openings? Thank you to all responders!

You should be able to buy shower only valves, if not, capping the tub spout will create one.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

yes there are shower only valves but not ave style will have the option. Purchase a threaded brass plug. Take the valve with you to be sure you get the size and thread. It should thread on easy. At home add 4-8 wraps of teflon tape screw the two together .
