No vapor barrier above bathroom

Post by darren.susin » Mon Jul 29, 2019 11:34 am

My house is quite old, so pretty leaky. I live north of 60, as well.

I noticed that there is no vapor barrier above my bathroom; there's only some insulation. There is poly in other parts of the house, but not there. Weird, I know.

I can't really add poly at this point, so what's the best for me to do? Should I spray foam above the bathroom only?

Thanks

2" - 3" of cloud cell spray foam would help seal it for sure. and get some more insulation in there after as well. You need at least R50 -60
