Roxul Insulation

Post by emtnut » Sat Nov 07, 2015 8:04 pm

I don't want to sound like an add for Roxul, but ....

When I did my basement , the stuff was awesome to work with. Working around electrical boxes was awesome.
It can get wet, and won't loose it's R value ... and the Video you posted shows it's extremely fire retardant.

What gives ? .... Must have a drawback ( It did cost me a bit more, but that could have been just my supplier too )

Interested in what your opinion is.

Really the only draw back is the cost is usually about double the cost of regular batt insulation. And thats what most people are most worried about 99% of the time. They usually do not have a problem spending money on the "lip stick" products that you see but whats behind the wall they have trouble spending extra on. This is my opinion anyways.
