Owens Foamular Foam Board Insulation

Post by Steig32 » Tue Feb 12, 2019 2:43 pm

Hi Shannon,
I am framing a basement wall. Your YouTube video is great. My issue is that my walls are about 8'10" tall and the foam board insulation is only 8 feet tall. Can I cut and go horizontal to make up the space? If so, on top or on bottom? And do I put the ship-lap lip toward front or back? Thanks!!

Orientation of the foam shouldn't matter.

You can do this pretty much any way you like. I personally would work with full sheets starting from the floor and then the strip at the top. I hate kneeling any more then needed! LOL. It will be easiest to have the lip against the concrete on the edges where you will add the next sheet.
