Insulating wall adjacent to "cold storage"

Post by [email protected] » Sun Apr 07, 2019 10:03 am

Hello all,
I'm re-insulating my basement and the previous owner had a "cold storage" underneath the front porch. That area has 8' concrete wall just like a basement and is not insulated, therefore very cold. One concrete wall is common between the basement area and cold storage. I'm assuming that there is no problem insulating that wall as an exterior foundation wall. Is there? Thanks

Yes if you are keeping the cold room you can insulate the walls that separate it from the heated space as needed.
