Nail holes in basement walls

Post by boxcargr » Fri May 17, 2019 1:30 pm

I have block cement walls that previously had studs nailed to them. The old studs were ripped out because of water damage from a burst pipe. I am removing the old nails so I can frame new walls without worrying about running into them, (and some small chunks of concrete in the process). Do I need to patch or seal the nail holes in the concrete block before insulating and framing? If so what product should I use to do this? Same question for nail holes in the floor that were from carpet tack strips around the perimeter.

The holes should really not cause any problems if they are not now. You can patch them if you want and then frame your basement.
