Sunroom Replacement Storm Windows

Post by jamesgeiger » Wed Jul 03, 2019 6:48 pm

Hi all,

I have 7 old storm windows in my sun room that I believe are just plain old glass. I'd like to replace them with more energy efficient ones, but do I need to replace the entire window? Or just the glass?

And is there any benefit to skipping the storm windows and just installing regular windows?

I am on a tight budget so the regular windows are probably a no-go :)

if all you have is the old single pane type wood storm windows then you really can not install new efficient glass into those because they are not made for the thickness you need.
