Hi Folks! I watched the video of taping and mudding inside drywall corners. In the video, I only saw you perform the example on the larger of the two corners. I have a corner about three to four inches wide. I've no drywall experience at all. I've selected YOU for help. Any suggestions?

I'm not understanding the issue, a corner is a corner, you just tape it. Can you post a pic showing your concerns?

I'm late for work and have to run. I will check back this afternoon.

In the meantime, we've got a lot of conversations about how to do drywall, so if you have some time, you might look for them. Shannon also has a number of videos on the subject that may help.

Use the “full editor & preview” tab. There you will find the text box like normal and bellow will be a tab for adding attachments.

I think what you are saying is that you have a corner where the wall only comes out of the corner a short distance?
If the outer edge of that corner is also an outside corner then install the corner bead and tape the inside corner . Your next coats will fill the space between the two corners.

If the outer edge coming out of the corner stops at a opening then tape the corner and coat like normal.

Awesome thanks 👍
I'll give that a try after I process it in my head a bit.

Shannon, I wish I had found you earlier. I had a leak in the roof, which I repaired. I wasn't aware of it until it was too late. There was mold growing up in the corner of the ceiling and the entire corner. That's what's gotten me to have to drywall for the first time. But... I've had to move or sister ceiling joists because it's an odd ball area. So it isn't like slapping a whole new piece on.

Sorry for the delay, it's been a very LOOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG day! Left the house at 7:30am, didn't get home until 8:30pm.

Jax, posting pix is really easy. If you have a photo host, you can link them here, otherwise, you can upload them directly to our server using the "attachment" feature below the response box when you're writing a message. You may have to edit your images to get under the file size limit, but it's all pretty easy to do with readily available stuff. 8-)
