Plywood faux shiplap ceiling in sunroom

Post by cpace47 » Mon Sep 30, 2019 8:21 am

We have installed a plywood faux shiplap ceiling in our sunroom, and like the natural wood look. Our question is whether it is essential to use a sealer/stain on the plywood, as we did not seal or stain the wood prior to installing it overhead and would like to avoid the very messy job of doing it now if it is not necessary. Although it is a sunroom and not centrally cooled or heated (we live in a hot climate), it is a quite protected, interior space.

I don't think it will be necessary to finish it if you do not want to.
