Will a dehumidifier in a finished basement keep the space behind the walls dry?

Hey guys,

If you had a finished basement with with 2x4 walls built 4" off concrete wall, and you had a dehumidifier inside the finished space, would it keep the 4" void behind the wall dry?

I am trying to avoid spray-foaming or foam boarding the concrete wall. Just thinking about using mineral wool or fiberglass insulation within 2x4 wall.

Over all your basement should be drier but if you live in a cold climate and only use batt insulation you will get dome sort of moisture behind the wall most likely in the form of frost . This is because of the heat loss through the wall and that warm moister air condensates against the cold concrete . You should have some sort of moisture barrier on the concrete if you are I a cold climate as well. That could be poly, house wrap, rigid foam or even Roxul comfort batts.
