Load Bearing Wall?

Post by image969 » Sat Jul 25, 2015 8:44 pm

Hello.. I am trying to take down a 12' section of a wall to open up closet in bedroom to make more of a walk in. This 12' section is running perpendicular to the main beam running the legnth of my house which can be seen from the unfinished basement.

Now down in the basement the wall is sitting on cement foundation, and there does appear to be truss or some support above it in attic... However.....this used to be exteroir wall of the house. My house goes on for an extra 15 feet now. Is that exterior wall that is now an interior wall still load bearing? I would really love to NOT use a beam in the walk in closet. It runs paralell to my floor joists.
