Hi, I'm hearing that the new structural screws are great. I'm wondering how much weight they can sustain. I'm going to use them in ledger board but would like to use them to secure the 2X 8 planks that will be attached to the posts and then my joists/decking will sit on that.

Any information would be appreciated :-)

Check the Fastening Handbook for anchoring all base materials.
My book is Powers Fasteners.
All the info you need will be in this handbook it will give you LOAD CAPACITIES , Anchor sizes & styles , Performance Data.
