GFI Outlets

Post by garciarx » Mon Apr 28, 2014 4:46 pm

Is it possible to install an GFI outlet and a Non-GFI outlet in the same gangbox? Or should they both be GFIs?

If you need one to be GFCI the other should be as well. If they both are on the same circuit then you can run the circuit to the GFCI and then go from it to a normal plug. The GFCI should be marked with a sticker to show you which screws to attach the outgoing wires to that go to the second plug. When you do it this way both plugs are protected by the first GFCI.
