Simple wiring question

Post by nailzz » Wed Aug 06, 2014 6:41 am

I am running a series of 4 pot lights in a suspended ceiling. I understand that I group the 3 black wires in a marret and 3 white wires in a marret.

My question is for the ground wires. I believe I group these three wires in a third marret, but how do I ground them? Do all three have to be wrapped around the screw? Can one be on the screw and then into the marret? Basically, I am asking what the procedure is for the ground wires.

Thanks

You can do it two ways, you could have a forth ground in the marrett that is then attached to the ground screw or attach one of the existing wires to the screw and marrett it to the others.
