Simple cabin wireing question

Post by aaron29 » Tue Sep 24, 2013 11:53 am

I was directed here from a very helpful youtube video of yours!

Here is my question in a nutshell.I need to know how to wire in a light switch and light from a string out outlets.

ie: outlet#1-outlet#2-light switch/light-outlet#3-switch/light#1-switch/light#2-outlet#4.end

Do I simply pigtail into the source and run a length of wire to switch?
this is all on one circuit.

I understand how to wire the outlets thanks to this vid I just need to add a few light switches and lights inbetween the outlets.

Yes pig tail off of supply lines at a plug and take that to your switch, then from there to the light/lights. Remember to be sure and not over load a circuit when doing this. As a rule of thumb no more than 12 fixtures and or plugs on one circuit. I like to stay under 10 to be safe.
