Wine Cooler need dedicated circuit?
Hi, Planning for outlet for wine cooler/fridge in kitchen (under cabinet). I know that Refrigerator need dedicated circuit. But does that code apply to Wine cooler too? I do not find any mention of wine cooler in forums. Thanks in advance.
Re: Wine Cooler need dedicated circuit?
A wine cooler does not require a dedicated circuit.
You can add it to general use receptacles.

Re: Wine Cooler need dedicated circuit?
Thank you Emtnut. I will wire this with 12AMP (yellow wire) used for kitchen countertop receptacles.
Re: Wine Cooler need dedicated circuit?
Actually you want to leave your countertop recepts dedicated... it's a specially required circuit. By general use circuit, that means just any other circuit that supplies power to receptacles throughout the house.

Thanks Aaron, I will then wire wine cooler to normal receptacle (white 14/2 , 15amp) circuit on AFCI breaker (12 receptacles per circuits one).
