Main breaker panel help!

Post by Kylepk » Fri Sep 06, 2019 12:10 pm

My main breaker panel is in the garage in drywall. I’m putting in some new recessed lights in our dining room and was planning on running a new circuit. What I’m wondering is how should I put a clamp on the new wire coming in if I can’t get to the outside top of the panel?

Are you sure you need a new circuit? You could probably use your existing lighting circuit for the lights? That would save you a load of hassle.

Most electricians would just remove a section of drywall, and add the circuit.

They do make 'inside' NM connectors, Arlington makes the NM94X/NM95X

However, I agree with Aaron, if it's just a few lights, especially LED type, just pick up on a circuit close by.
