Yeah, that is usually, but not always true. There are some cases where sequels are just as good as the first, but it's often because the first movie and the sequels were all planned together even if they weren't filmed all at once. So there's good continuity at least.

In some rare situations, the sequel can actually be better than the first. But it's pretty rare, and "better" is sort of simplistic. For example, I like Aliens (with the 's') more than Alien.

There's definitely a difference between a planned series, such as Harry Potter, where there is a cohesive story line throughout the series, as opposed to most movies that are planned as a one hit wonder, then jump for the cash grab sequel to continue the franchise, a la The Matrix and just about every other franchise.

I did like The Terminator well enough, and T2 was an awe inspiring special effects extravaganza that was spectacular, one of the few times that a sequal was worth the watch. T3 was a little less, but still good, and the revival post Gov Arny wasn't bad either, but then I really like Emily Clark and thought she did a great job in the roll of a young Sarah Connor. Still, special Fx tend to try to fill gaps in script and story line, but the Terminator franchise has aged and progressed well.

Another good example of story over everything else is Cars and Toy Story. Pixar demands that the stories be solid long before a script is written or animation begins, as opposed to most thing these days where writers crizzap on a page, they wrote it, therefore it's plausible, let the Fx fill in the gaps . . . Um . . . yeah.

So, my grandson crawled into my lap tonight and asked me where poo comes from. I was a little uncomfortable, but gave him an honest explanation. He looked a little perplexed, stared at me in stunned silence for a few moments, then asked, "and Tigger?"

So I saw today's news that, "Queen Elizabeth II agreed Monday to grant Prince Harry and his wife Meghan their wish for a more independent life, allowing them to move part-time to Canada."

Canada is sort of a vast country.

Might they settle in Saskatchewan?

Not sure really why they would settle here? There are many more areas with beautiful mountain views and warmer over all climates in our borders. I would suspect they will settle closer to Toronto or Vancouver areas, but who knows.

Oh right, you said that in your video. Some builder trade show. Enjoy!

It is -2F/-19C out there now, and with the wind it feels like -20F/-29C. 🥶

Thursday's high is only going to be 3F/-16C! :(

Brutal. -40 is where C and F meet. Lol

This is a snap to be sure. As if that weren't bad enough we're slated for 5-10 inches of snow tomorrow! A winter storm watch is in effect. Feels like January out there.

I have to say, thankfully, we have not had any majorly cold weather. A couple of nights it's thought about getting to freezing temp, but not often, and these are our coldest months. We haven't had much for rain either. Hopefully we'll have a wet spring or things are gonna be real crispy around here come summer time.

Can get real crispy here....OR.....it's like hurricane Harvey was....where a fish crosses my porch and I'm considering getting the boat ready.

It was 5c that morning and even cooler up on the mountain where there was even snow, and that’s where we headed. I think we climbed 4300’ from the city of Vegas level.
I brought shorts but it’s been to cool and cloudy for them so far.

Well at least you're out and about, not parked in front of a slot machine. The casinos can be a little fun but only for like 10 hours. Lol
