Impulsive purchase got me into a jam

Post by Aaron » Tue Nov 03, 2015 8:03 pm

Look what I found, of all things, at my local home improvement store.

Never heard of the fruit, but I haven't had a jam I didn't like. Looks like blueberries.

Is this the food network? LOL
Aaron saskatoon berries are a natural native berry found here on the prairies, and they are delicious ! My parents have a very small U- pick saskatoon orchard and she also makes homemade pies from the excess berries. Their trees were purchased and plated but the bushes can be found naturally in many valley parks and natural areas like that still today. I have had some cheaper jams that are not as good but usually the jam is nice and sweet . Enjoy my friend!

It's super good. Tastes like blueberry only better. I'll be getting more of it, that's for sure.

Haha this is awesome. Seems like these local supplies are expanding their reach a bit farther. Minus the big supplies who carry coffee, donuts, etc. for their customers I don't think I have ever seen an actual food retailer....
