Another problem with modern consoles is downloadable content, I'd rather buy game disks than D/L content via a paid subscription.
Yes, software subscriptions are a SCOURGE. Agreed.

All that X-Box talk filled up fast !

I don't do games, but my son bought a new (custom) controller for his x-box a few years back.
He moved to the 360 after that thou.

Now he does it all on a PC. From what he says, 'real gamers use PCs' .... I'll take his word for it

I can ask him where he got the controller if you need to get one ... if they still exist ???

I'm a ways from setting up a PC so I don't need a controller just yet, thanks for the offer though. 8-)

Speaking of "new pages", I needed a laugh the other day, so I scrolled back about 30 pages to our chat about Johnsons, unsolicited deck pix, and whatever else was on topic of the day. Busted a gut all over again! Good times!

I'm laughing at how you suspect that poor new user in the bathroom forum wants to learn about towel warmers and you denigrated his post as possible spam!

You didn't see the link associated with the post, implying all the "research" he had done. He's lucky I found him first, Admin would have bounced him immediately.

And, If I'm proven wrong, I'll apologize just as publicly, but let's just say, I won't be practicing any retraction speeches.

Oh I like a cold toilet seat, just as I like sitting on a cold chair.

For some reason sitting in a seat or chair that someone's just sat seconds before grosses me out. Lol

As for the avatars, well you've left me speechless!

That will buff right out, no worries!

So I was charged with the task recently of cleaning up my farther inlaws mini van to prepare it for sale. One thing that had plagued him the last couple years he drove it was that the drivers seatbelt would not retract like it should, well of course I never looked at it at that time but once I was driving it a bit I got annoyed and decide to have a look. I thought to myself... self, what would Spruce do? So I did a google search. I found a video on line that described removing the ratcheting housing thingy from the door pillar and removing the belt to rewind the spring. OK sounds like that would do it right? so I pull off 4 pieces of plastic interior mouldings to get at it unplug the chime wire, unspool the belt ,remove the pin that holds the belt in ratcheting roller thingy, carefully holding ratcheting thingy so it does not spin at 100km an hour and totally loose all tension, remove belt end from slot in roller, wind roller baaacckkk....all of 1 extra turn before it stops and says no more? :x  . Hmmm I guess thats it? Put all said parts back together pinching my hands and fingers at least 5 times in the process trying to line up little plastic holders with little tiny holes that you cant hardly reach with big stubby fingers or even tiny screw drivers for that matter. :?
Pull out seat belt to try it and it is marginally better..hmmm pull out phone to search again and next search suggestion is to clean little guild thats up higher on the door pillar where the shoulder belt disappears into the plastic crap pieces again. So I take a look at this thing and it is indeed grimy on both sides. Clean it off with the end of a screw driver a bit and what do you know the seatbelt retracts like a bull whip across my shoulder!!! Should have looked at the second search result the first time.

Happy Easter everyone!

See there, Sprucey would have procrastinated, watching more vids to pass the time.   Actually, I tend to watch multiple vids on things because there's usually more than one way to skin a cat, some easier or less involved than others. The one thing I learned in taking out the Burb's interior is that I really should have taken more before pix to know where to reinstall some of the parts and pieces. All the big stuff was easy, it was some of the bolt covers under the seats that I couldn't figure out. Not a big deal, because you really don't notice that the covers are missing, also, and more importantly, there's a metal washer that holds them in place that is broken or missing, so they'd just be rolling around anyway.
