Excellent article. I always thought it had to do with sustainable power but also that it was a way to sell a tool again 5 years down the road with a new battery type.

Great article. The batteries used in these are the same used in current e-cigarettes the
IMR 18650 li-ion. What’s interesting is my chargers that do individual cells have a cut off voltage of 4.2V. This would technically make these 21V battery packs if these chargers do the same. :-)
