Red handle pry bar/scraper

Post by Timber » Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:21 am

I watched your video of removing laminate floor. Where did you purchase the red handle tool for removal of trim? I live in Missouri and am unable to find it.

It's a Canadian thing, you can't get them here.

The Red Bar listed in Shannon's video and tool kit article is a brand, there are other brands of that same bar here in the states. If you absolutely must have a Red Bar, then you'll have to find a Canadian supplier, otherwise, Amazon is your friend. 8-)

The red bar doesn't work in the US.

They look much like a bee keepers bar/scraper. Not sure if they are the same though

I ordered it! I haven't found this thing anywhere. I like the wide "tongue" on it.

My silly comment above was out of spite. :D

That's because it's metric and we use SAE.

The manufacturer: http://www.arichard.com/en/catalog/pry- ... r-scraper/

There are 3 sizes of them now I believe. I have a couple of the "regular" size like Shannon, and a mini one. I swear I saw an even longer one although their site doesn't list it.

That could be. The Richards company is in Quebec so I might need a French hammer to strike it. It will make the sound PAN-PAN instead of BANG-BANG.

I probably should have ordered a mini bar too because just ordering the normal one costs in shipping the same price as the tool itself. Oh well.

Well then you've fallen asleep with it in your hand, not necessarily in your bed.
