Mystery object

Post by Eagleone » Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:22 pm

I found this object in our dishpan today. I cannot identify it but it looks familiar. - okay, no jokes -

Can anyone help me identify what it is before I find out and whatever needs it causes damage?

My best guess is that it hitched a ride from the washer and dryer in a dish cloth. Other than that, I've got nothing.

Help!

Well, whatever it is, it looks like it's shrink wrapped for your protection. Sorry, couldn't resist.

It looks like some sort of plastic hinge pin. No idea what it would go to.

Do you have kids or hobbies of some sort that an item like this would be associated with? Something from a toy, kit, or model?

Good to see I wasn't the only one

Actually looks like a coat hook, or the end of a coat hanger. It would have been curved, but it melted when it sat at the bottom of the dishwasher (there's a 1200W heater element at the bottom)
