Vinyl Siding above a shingled roof

Post by housemj » Tue Jun 12, 2018 3:53 pm

I need help understanding how to start siding on an exterior wall that is above a center pitched roof. I know I have to start with j trim since each side starts with an angle cut but how do I know each side will end up meeting the first long piece once above the peak of the roof?

Thanks. :?:

I think we have discussed this before but I'll go over it again.
Above the peak of the roof you need to snap a level guild/reference line. You can then use that line to use a reference to measure the lower rows off of to make sure you are staying straight and equal.
