Insulating wavy concrete walls

Post by Millski » Thu Sep 06, 2018 9:28 am

My basement is poured concrete and the walls are quite wavy from the forms I suppose? I was going to use 2”xps and then frame and batt insulate but the XP’s won’t sit tight to the concrete because of the wavyness. Is this a problem? I can seal the foam up tight but will that air gap be an issue?

The air space should be no problem once you are all seamed and done.
