I have a big carpet but flood came through my house and it all got wet. How do I deal with this without having to spend a lot of money?

If you had a burst fresh water pipe, the carpet can be removed, dried, and reinstalled. If the flood was from nature, I highly recommend total replacement, as flood waters are full of sewage and other nasties that you simply cannot clean up, replacement is the only solution. Flooding creates a whole lot more damage than soggy carpets, so we would need more info on what has happened to advise you adequately.

As for spending money, most of this sort of thing should be covered by insurance.
