Looking for opinion

Post by Jmaclicious » Sun Oct 07, 2018 10:29 pm

Looking for some input and opinion on these two style lights before I place an order. My basement ceiling isn’t very high and I cannot decide what would look better between these lights. One is a little bit recessed where the other one is just flush with the drywall. I’ll be using these for the whole basement including under bulkhead (low ceiling in hallway).

I can't really tell the difference? If there is it's pretty suble. I think functionally I might prefer flush?

I like the flush one (left) better.

I think it all depends on how much area you want each light to cover. Flush mount lights usually have a wider angle of coverage. And recessed are more like spot lighting. But looking at the pic you included that won't be much of an issue for you.

Yup I agree there is really no difference other then the slight recess look on the one. If there is no price difference or Lumens difference I would say it's a toss up. Once they are in you will never know the difference really. I have used both types and I have never noticed a difference in the amount of light coverage either , the recess is so slight it really does not make a difference.
