How can I remove glue from my carpet?

Depends on what kind of glue it is, is it carpet glue as suggested by the thread title or something else as indicated by your question itself?
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

Depends on the type of carpet glue. If you are using a solvent based glue then you will likely need solvent ,but that could also damage the carpet or remove the colour.
If you are using a non solvent based glue then warm/hot water should loosen it and allow you to get most of it.

I won't kid you if you have a lot to do this could be a very long process.

Can you post a picture and what kind of carpet is it?

"Carpet glue" could mean anything, can you be a little more specific? Is the glue from seam tape, is the carpet glued to the floor?

Why are these things important, seam tape is heat activated and can be somewhat removed with heat, glued down carpet glue is different and requires solvent (mineral spirits) to clean up. Then you've got the solvent/non-solvent based glue question that will take you in other directions.
