Hi,
I need one 3/8 fitting for the liquid line connection but can't find it anywhere (like in the attachment). Maybe I looking for the wrong name, so how is it called?
I saw names like aeroquip fitting, chatleff fitting, tailpiece, tailpiece with telfon o-ring but can't find it to buy anywhere. Any ideas? Where are you getting this stuff?
// Yes, it's for refrigerant R410A. Yes, I know about nitrogen purge.
Thanks!

Re: HVAC - liquid line fittings
Also, I am seeing mixed comment about flaring for HVAC application, that it won't hold the pressure but then some guys are using torch or oil. Is flaring accepted for refrigerant lines?
Re: HVAC - liquid line fittings
You're likely relegated to an HVAC supplier for what you're looking for, while it might look like any other 3/8 fitting, the threads are probably wildly different from what you would find in the plumbing world. Heck, even 3/8 fittings in the plumbing world often don't match up. I'd take the part with you, in hand, to the supplier and match it up with what they've got.
