I like the way the vanity is finished with an extra piece of trim to fill the gap between the wall and the cabinet. It looks like 3/4 inch trim material? Is that sufficient, or should I cut it to 1 inch to allow for the vanity top? will a 1/4 inch off center make a visible difference?
1/4" x 3/4" is typical for a scribe molding, but it can be any size you wish. Alternatively, if the face frame of the cabinet allows, you can scribe and sand the edge of the face frame to match the wall and not need any scribe at all.
If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
