Best Drill Bit?

Post by Quveyro » Wed Nov 27, 2019 7:08 am

Need to drill a few holes in a brick wall to put in anchors for hanging some picture frames, etc. All a quarter-inch or less. What do you all recommend as to the brand and type of bit to get the job done? And will a hammer drill get it done faster or is my plain old variable speed drill good enough?

Any masonry bit should work, you will be drilling into the mortar between the bricks and most times its not too tough to drill. I would try the normal drill you have first if you don't have easy access to one with a hammer drill setting, it may do the trick if the mortar is a little softer.

Agreed, any masonry bit will do and the drill you have will suffice.
